I'm totally into this whole look that seems to have become so much more popular since Rooney Mara has been around and made it a little more okay to be freaky. I've been feeling somewhat uninspired by fashion and editorials in general lately, maybe because the whole trend cycle and advertising machine that is the fashion industry just bums me out sometimes. Thankfully, there's always Charlotte Free with her crazy pink hair to come in and wear THAT Celine suit or an amazing silk shirt with beetles all over it to remind me what I love about fashion in the first place.

I don't usually do this, but I figured I'd do a little mini-review/recommendation of the movie I just watched with my mom, Martha Marcy May Marlene. Starring the SERIOUSLY gorgeous and amazingly talented Elizabeth Olsen, the movie tells the story of a girl who escapes from a cult and deals with the aftermath (in so many words). It's one of the most memorable, jarring, kind of disturbing but completely enthralling films that I've seen in a loooong time. On top of that, it's gorgeous to look at--the simple white clothes on the cult members, the setting in upstate New York and Connecticut, and of course the leading lady. I highly recommend.
